Free the Midwives
| Free the Midwives is a private, legal expenses fund for the
purpose of raising money for Missouri Midwives as they defend their new law
and their profession in court. Midwifery is one of the oldest professions known to mankind, and has been proven time and again to be safe, cost-effective and a crucial part of any good maternity care system. It is unfortunate that the state of Missouri decided to criminalize midwifery in 1959. Free the Midwives is dedicated to reversing the criminalization of the practice of midwifery.
